How to Paint the Moon - Art Workshop by Shelley Irish @ Daniel Smith Artist's Materials

Explore the moon with your eyes and your imagination. We start with the shadow shapes of the moon’s ‘portrait’. Soft blends of deep color are used to give the feeling of the expanse of space behind the moon. We layer and glaze, paint stars, craters and lunar landscape patterns. Special attention is given to color temperature and saturation in creating the mood and personality of our moons.

Shelley Irish guides you through the painting process using demos, straightforward painting techniques, and self-care exercises for beginning and seasoned artists, giving you a unique learning experience. No painting experience is necessary.

The fee is $150 for 9 hours of instruction
